nuovo compra NEW BUYS.

My latest
So this past month I’ve gone pretty crazy on buying new clothing – I cannot control myself or my money when I see a collection that I must have!! After soaking up the sun on my holiday and returning to cold gloomy England the start of my 2013 winter wardrobe had to begin.

ITS FINALLY ARRIVED.

I couldn’t help myself. Last week searching the internet I came across a must have piece – The Fred Perry Diamond shirt. Its finally come today and I’m in love.

I love Fred Perry styles and this is my first purchase but most definitely won't be my last.
My main fetish for the shirt is the white collar matching with the white buttons down the center it really breaks up the madness in the diamond pattern print.
I can’t wait to team it up with some black leather boots, tights and a black coat along with my new mustard scarf.

My favorite high streets store at the moment is Zara.

I’ve more a less spent the last two weeks buying clothing and taking some of it back and buying more. I just cant resist Zara are really on top form at the minute every time I visit which is weekly the selves and mannequins have changed – true top trenders.

The first I bought was this navy collection teamed up with the yellow mustard. I loved the combination of the two colours                                                              together and I was happy that it was a change from black.

My favorite piece out of the navy collection i bought was most definite the printed navy floral trousers. I have a huge fetish for prints no matter what garment there on - i love busyness.

My sister studies at Leeds university so this Monday me and my mum moved her into her third house in Leeds and after we took a traditional stroll to Leeds, our favorite city nearest to home.

Of course I checked out my favorite high street store Zara and came out with more than what I should have!

I first went in to return a lace top which was a steep forty five pounds and boring black, I didn’t want it as part of my winter wardrobe and I didn’t think I’d get much wear out of it. I took a sensible role to exchange the one item for another one with four others (unexpected).

I went for a black and white monochrome style, with two jumper dresses which I love they are a easy essential to have in your winter wardrobe. Again I chose prints and these two had individual prints against each other which I liked, the colour assumes that they’re very similar. But there not. They’re both very different dresses in many ways.

My next buy was my beloved black coat, this is my favorite time of the year been able to buy a new coat and new boots. Black goes with everything and I had no choice but to buy the coat I had to. Its stylish cut and leather sleeves drawed my eye and inner fashion sense towards the coat and towards the till – sold.

My favorite against the whole of my Monday Zara buys was most definite the tartan dress. Tartan print is highly on trend it’s a must have. Tartan is working really well this winter printed on to every garment possible sold in high street and designer.
Finally my last buy which I ran back for is my mustard jacket/coat, I saw the mustard coat when I bought the navy collection at the end of last month but I couldn’t afford it. I didn’t have to make my mind up about the coat it was one of those items when you try it on an instant million thoughts come rushing through your head of what you can wear it with and when you can wear it.

Mustard is really in this winter. Sully loves it.

past

l'anno scorso LAST YEAR
Last year was my GCSE year and  my aim was to jigsaw fashion into any of my subjects as much as I could. Taking textiles in year ten I was eager to base my art subject upon fashion.
In my final piece we were given a hand-out for our  topic ‘Journeys’.

The ‘journey’ through fashion.

I started with taking items from my own wardrobe and photographing them ready to build upon in my sketch book on primary sources. (Shoes from Zara)

My secondary resources I rooted the web for some incredible images. I took colour, style and layout into consideration and created five pages full of secondary resources.
(All images had original website link in back of sketch book)

PRIMARY RESOURCE – PHOTOGRAPHY
I styled myself from head to toe for my vintage look.
Scarf vintage-  Hermes
Long body con – Topshop
Denim skirt – Topshop
Belt- AQUA
Boots- Topshop
Throughout the whole of my art final project this was one of my favorite - I loved styling myself in a traditional vintage style.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE SKETCHES AND FINAL PIECE
One of my favorite sketches was of the fashion icon Cara Delevingne. Starting my project I knew that she would have to be a must have in my sketch book. She is a huge icon to today’s fashion and at the age of twenty one a huge inspiration to many models and fashionistas.

My final piece grew from my primary photography vintage photos. I wanted to make the piece bright and colourful full of energy signifying a relation to fashion. I used all different kinds of techniques and materials to contrast against each other.

My love for fashion

Il mio amore verso di moda MY LOVE TOWARDS FASHION.

My fetish in fashion never stops growing.

I remember been a really young age and the traditional Sunday visit at my Nans house would consist of me rooting through her sewing box pulling out all the threads and beads ready to embellish the hell out of anything I could get my hands on.
Secondary school was where I really started to breathe fashion. Around the age of fourteen to fifteen I was bought a sewing machine. I used it to full advantage and made a variety of garments, which became online on my Facebook and it became my weekend job - Nothing more than I enjoyed making individual pieces for others to wear and that was when I discovered my urge and inner excitement for a future career in fashion.

I worked in House Of  Fraser last year in the ladies Warehouse concessions. I loved working with the clothing brand and I was fortunate to create a mood board piece (picture below) which was sent off to Aurora’s headquarters which is most definite my favourite involvement so far in fashion.

Today- I love fashion and my wage is gone within a week on keeping up to trend. The fast paste of the latest, challenges me into what to wear in the morning and knowledge’s me on what looks good together. It’s incredible how one piece of clothing from the catwalk can stand straight on a mannequin in a high street store within the space of four to six weeks. I love designer ends and I believe what you pay for is what you receive, unfortunately at the age of sixteen it isn’t all affordable. At the age of sixteen one designer coat can cost a whole high-street outfit which is always a winner.

Fashion is past presence and future.
  Embrace it.
